Head Coach Bill Ragans & Family

Coach Bill Ragans enters his 16th year of coaching football, 4 years of college and 12 years of high school. A native of Live Oak, Florida, Bill was a three sport athlete at Suwanne High School playing football, basketball and baseball, before graduating in 1986. Following high school, he accepted a football scholarship at Florida State University where he was a four year letterman and a two year starter, serving as a defensive captain his senior year. He signed as a free agent with the Seattle Seahawks in 1991 and played in three pre-season games before being released following an injury. He played one full season in the World League of American Football with the Frankfurt Galaxy in the spring of1992 before injuries ended his play career.
He coached college football at Florida State as a Graduate Assistant (1993-95), and was the Secondary Coach at Valdosta State (1996). He coached on the high school level throughout the Big Bend area, as well as South Georgia. He had stops at Suwannee County as an assistant, and Madison County, Leon High and Colquitt County (Ga.), all as a Defensive Coordinator. He is in his second stint here at Leon High serving as Defensive Coordinator for now Athletic Director, Mark Feely. This is Coach Ragans' first head coaching job. Bill is married to the former Stephanie Kay George of Ft. Myers. They have two children, William Cecil Ragans, III "Tripp" and Bailey Kay Ragans.

Head Trainer, Alan Morales
Alan D. Morales, M.Ed., ATC, LAT, received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida and his Master of Education degree from Temple University. He is currently the head athletic trainer at Leon High School in Tallahassee, Florida where he teaches Biology, Anatomy & Physiology and Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries. He also instructs the students, faculty and administration in CPR and First Aid. Mr. Morales has been selected as Athletic Trainers' Association of Florida 2008 High School Athletic Trainer of the Year. He is also a two-time recipient of the Leon High School Glen-Howell Distinguished Minority Educator of the Year (2007 and 2009). In addition, he has served as Clinical Instruction of the Florida State University Training Program, Florida State University Master of Science Education Program, and Tallahassee Community College Education Preparation Program. Furthermore, he serves as the Athletic Trainers' Association of Florida Panhandle Representative.
Previously, Mr. Morales worked as the Head Athletic Trainer and teacher at Apopka High School and was a member of the Health-Medical Magnet Advisory Board. He also served as athletic trainer for the Chicago Cubs, Florida A&M University, Atlanta Braves, and Lower Merion High School in Ardmore, Pennsylvania. He shares all his life with his wife, Jacquelyn, and his son, Kamari.
